Other Minds (based in San Francisco) welcomes you to radiOM[ray-dee-om].org — the website that brings you the sounds of revelationary new music and the voices of the revelationists themselves. The material you will find here is gleaned from thousands of hours of audio recordings from KPFA-FM radio in Berkeley (1949-1995), and concerts and talks produced by Other Minds in San Francisco (1993-2005).

[Featured] Link Tangible Musical Interfaces
This overview on tangible musical interfaces is focussing on table-top controllers, such as music tables and audio building blocks, mostly chosen for their relation to the reacTable* project. It also includes a few additional projects, which we think are somewhat closer to the concept of tangible interfaces rather than simple musical controllers.

Link Elektropolis
This page is dedicated to the now closed Synthesizerstudio Bonn, a shop where, amongst other people, Kraftwerk, Tangerine, Klaus Schulze and even me bought their hardware. It's only in German, but if you're interested in electronic music: This is part of it's history. To be frank - I believe that Dirk Matten (the former owner) as some kind of catalysator set a lot in motion here in Germany.

Link HighC - draw your music
HighC is a music creation tool inspired from Iannis Xenakis'' UPIC. Its goal is to make music composition as simple and direct as sketching.
HighC may remind some of Metasynth, but it uses vector-based sound representations rather than a pixmap/fft-based model. In essence, HighC is to Metasynth what Corel Draw is to Photoshop.
It is free and runs on most major platforms.
