Hey there,

I'm well aware that music production in general is a very male dominated field. Having said that, there are some females that do compose/produce music.

I have never noticed any female names from members here and was just wondering if there is even a single female member here that enjoys Nording.

It won't make any difference really, but I'm just curious, are there any females here? I suspect that the answer is no, but ask anyway. Very Happy

Sure there are women here, but for some reason 99% of the lot are hiding behind middle-aged male chauvinist online personalities. Shocked

I suppose it's just as well there aren't any women here to read it. Laughing

My wife's main/ favorite toy (apart from me of course Wink ) is her Nord Modular Very Happy

I think forums like this are also quite 'gay' places Question (I was offered a blow-job a couple of years back for eg!!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Laughing Laughing Laughing I didn't know what to say- so I said nothing Embarassed Laughing )

Yes- I think it's a very male dominated place (my wife wouldn't go anywhere near a forum like this- she prefers Spiked.org Laughing ). You have to be a bit odd to hang out on forums like this. Maybe that's why she likes me? Cool

I realize that shock can make decisions like this difficult. But being the sex god that I am, I have this to deal with constantly, and find "No!" or "No thank you." both obvious and appropriate answers. Razz

http://nescivi.de/

Marije performs with a Micro that gets controled by SuperCollider which is in turn controled by custom electronics, some of which are intergrated into a overall.

She doesn't hide behind a male persona (as far as I know) but for a while she did pretend to be a (much) older female lecuturer.

No, I think it works differently. Living with musicians is very hard because they keep playing half-finished pieces over and over again. I think their partners are very thankfull for the fora because when the musicians are on the fora they'll be quiet for a while.

Well, at risk to be called a sexist, this discussion reminds me of a picture I found back resently on my computer. Maybe it explains...

Well, I think it's good to know that we males are not completely alone when it comes to Nording. Laughing I suppose the law of averages suggests that there should be at least, some interested females... I can however understand their reluctance to join totally male dominated forums though!

Mind you, if I was a female Norder, I'd probably love the attention... because I've always loved being 'different', not because I'd be a sl*g!! Very Happy ... but we'll never know! Laughing

Hmmm... Having never being offered such services, I'd prefer to think that I frequent a male dominated forum if you don't mind. Very Happy

p.s. love the picture Wout! Very Happy

I'm not sure what YOU intend to say with it but last time I saw that image it was send to me by a woman....

I'm not sure what YOU intend to say with it ...

Well... That single male knob, pointing to the sky with that little ball on top... More isn't needed to turn a man on, while a female... needs a lot of fine tuning... I think the woman who send this to you wanted to tell the same story...
I never saw the back side of this duo synth, but I'm sure the upper half has no outputs Very Happy

I think it's very open to interpertation.

I mean; is that top front-pannel realy that different from the G2 engine? Could be that it needs at least as much tuning but that it's not immediately obvious how. ...

The top one obviously has heaps of "undocumented features"

Or maybe it's all in the documentation?

Or possibly the only way of truly appreciating the complexity of the top unit is to be under the influence of some mind altering drug. Like, ummm,...... estrogen? Laughing
