| There is a pic of a wave on the front page. It states that new products are to come. They could just be using that photo to remind people of waldorf history etc. But, it defiantly puts ideas in your head. Other synth forums are all abuzz right now with the possibility. |

The more I look at it, I notice differences. The sliders on the lower panel are the most noticeable. When I first saw this (early in the morning) I got so excited I might have jumped the gun...POW,POW! It looks very "wave like". It looks expensive, what ever it is. Good for them, something for me to dream about at night. |

I'm personally hoping for an enhanced, repackaged XT. Waldorf have continued to sell the Q and other products but there's been no word on the XT. Here's my proposed spec:
1) USB - (basic patch and wave transfers, not going down the Total integration route - hehe!!).
2) Polyphony at about 30 voices.
3) Same knobs but improved Chassis and a better LCD screen.
4) Improved effects.
5) No external power supply.
6) Dedicated PC based editor
7) 3rd oscillator.

What if that beauty is the child of Mr XT and Mr Hartmann... That would make my neurons explode for sure...!!! Was´nt Hartmann involved in the Waldorf team for a while...? May certainly be wrong, but what I recall they had some love-affair...
Until that days comes when the beast is born, I suppose I have to treat my little orange baby with gentle love to spit out the money for that beast. Cos the new flagship will be a major one for sure. And expensive... It would at least be quite tactical from the team to create an hype and shimmering aura around the companyname again. Then to release stripped down versions of it.
I LOVE my XT and I treat it with great respect and love every day.
Hugs dudes...! |
