Hi,

Just been looking at the demo..... Is it meant to be a standalone piece of software only? I can't see it in my Cubase SX VST Instruments folder. Can the full G2 Editor run as a DX / VST Instrument, or is this functionality disabled just for the demo?

Cheers,

D

Also, is it possible for the Patch Adjustor to be assigned to MIDI Controllers? Nothing comes up if you right click on it, is this just intended to be changed via a mouse?

Please bear with me!!!!!

Thanks,

D

Both questions: no. No dxi/vsti functionality, and no midi-cc for the mutator/adjuster either. DXi/VSTi function would not be increasing hardware sales probably; Clavia is looking to stimulate hw sale instead of putting themselves out of business Wink . The mutator/adjuster is a function that resides completely in the software; it cannot be used when the hardware is used standalone and probably not in realtime either. Therefore, cc-functionality doesn't make much sense.

No DX / VST, the synth is an old fashioned hardware synth and the editor is just an editor for that synth. The demo software is a PC emulation of a quarter of the hardware synth, so a sort of a virtual virtual, with some features disabled.

The patch adjuster can't be controlled through MIDI as it's not a synth feature but an editor feature.

Sorry to disappoint you.

edit: oops it was already there, well now it must be true Very Happy

Awww, no worries, thanks guys. I thought the Patch Adjuster would neatly map onto my eight controller knobs - so I could control key parameters using these.

Cheers,

D

You could set up likewise behaviour using the morphs, those are MIDI controllabel but you have to set it all up yourself. Which also means it's much more flexible Very Happy
