Any reason I can't use a 741 in the TH VCA - 1?

I'm just about to button this build up to go along with my VCO - 1 but I don't have any TL0X1 on hand. I need to double check but I think the 741 has the same pinout. I have one of them.

Just making sure it won't blow anything up Wink

you can use it. IIRC the TL071 is just a newer design with less noise and a much higher input impedance.

Oops, I meant VCA - 1 Sad

After I checked the pinout I built it and used the 741.
Eventually I'll jam a TL071 in there but the 741 is working fine for now.

I'll post up when I have it switched out and note if there is any difference in performance thumb up

I just want to say that I got my first modular symth up and running!!! Very Happy

Most of the Modules are Thomas Henry...
VCO - 1 x 2
VCA - 1

and I used Your (Fonik) SSM2044 Filter.
