I have self not at this time Windows-Vista environments in works! But I believe, that only NM1 can be compatible with Vista (32-bit). My clavia-devices are NM-1-Rack/MICRO/NM-G2-Engine/NordRack2x. My midi-interface for NM1 and Micro to PC-Edit is an USB-Midisport 2x2, it works stable with Win-Xp-Sp1.
The NM1-synths no needs an USB-driver from clavia, but instead is a midi-pair-connection from NM to PC nessessary. The midi-ports of many standard-soundcards are reached in all win-versions from 95 to XP (perhaps in vista-32 too). Different manufacturers for midi-interfaces are most faster in driver-support than clavia. NM-Editor 3.03 is trying to start in compatible-modus for Win-98.
Is the NM-G2 in Vista dead?? - At this time no USB-drivers from clavia-support available.

You seem to be right, looking at http://electro-music.com/forum/post-125207.html

I'll lock this thread to avoid duplicate communications.
