Does anyone know what the Micromodulars' bit rate is? I'd like to use it as an effects device and process other instruments through and possibly even vocals using a vocoder patch but I'm a little concerned about the bit rate and sound quality coming out of Pro Tools at 24-bit. I'd like to use it as an insert effect.

"16-bit Sigma-Delta ADCs, 48 kHz sampling frequency...
18-bit linear DACs, 96 kHz sampling frequency"

I hope that helps. Please try and use it as an insert, it's a monster effect unit, you will love it. Smile

....so it goes in at 16bit and goes out as 18-bit? I've used the Micro as a synth and it is fantastic! I've yet to use it as an effect but I'm looking forward to doing so. Very Happy

...and I think it works at 24 bit internally, could be 20 though.

Of course the only real judge of it's value as a effect has to be your ear.

....I think the Nord Lead 2 works at 20-bit internally so I think it's the same for the micro since they came from the same Nord era. I don't think VAs were up to 24-bit at that time? Confused

Nope, both NM classic and NM G2 are 24/96 internally, the micromodular as well.
