A number of people here would agree that a single-source download would be MONUMENTALLY easier and more efficient than having to check the Patch Page every day. As it stands with the board being in php format we can't even webdump the site and find the dir or folder with people's uploads. Why would you design the site this way and make it impossible to organize it as such? Can't you do a search of all the .pch2 and .prf2 on your server and just save them to a folder?

there are some programs you can use to do a batch download of the patch archive php page. please see:
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-1851.html&highlight=patch+rchivea
for details. there is a link to the patch archive and links to other threads with more detailed instructions.

I have used PageSucker and WebDumper. Trying SiteSucker now... and thanks for the heads up. Still - it's a band-aid to the problem.

I've got two G2-patch archives on my site:

Patches

and

Performances

The files are 6 months old though, but they contain all G2 patches/performances posted here and on the mailing list up to that date.

The bad news is that you'll probably have to wait a while before Howard finds time ... the upcoming EM happening .... you know ...

Rob Hordijk has some patches on his website as well BTW, don't know though when was his last updateand they are not zipped. See http://www.xs4all.nl/~rhordijk/G2Patches/

Sorry, Hyde. I thought the FlashGet program was working for people. I haven't even thought of this as a problem since this topic:

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-4345.html

Seems like a good solution, but I've never tried it myself. Apparently, that's how Saskia got the files in bulk.

ok - Flashgot for Firefox coupled with Speed Download finally worked for me on a Mac. I don't know why SiteSucker, PageSucker, and Web Dumper didn't. I configured them every way imaginable. Anyway, I'm still of the opinion that there should be an easier and more efficient way. Hopefully it's of importance as well to those who can do something about it when they find the time.

Cheers Smile
