On page 121 in my G2 (v1.4) manual it says about the global channel setting, in synth settings in the editor:

"GLOBAL CHANNEL:
Here you set the Global MIDI Channel for the synth. The Global MIDI Channel should be used for sending and receiving MIDI note data and for sending control data (Modwheel, Aftertouch, Velocity,
Aftertouch and Pedals) as well as..."

But I can't figure out how to send for example aftertouch on the global channel.

Seems the manual is contradictiong itself. On page 143 it says:

"The only thing that is actually ever sent on the MIDI Global Channel is a Program Change message when you change Performances."

I believe the later one is the truth. I'm going to check with Clavia.
