Six tests. Against the percussive audio from Simultaneous Opposites, I comped overlay music tracks. Best are the last couple. This Sim Opp traversal worked better as the sonic focus, rather than as a bed track supporting soloing instruments. The problem here isn't how to write/record some music to go with the visuals: it is how to improvise along with the irregular audio and visual rhythms generated by the engine. It's hard because the generated audio isn't rhythmic or arrhythmic, it's irregular. It needs a different kind of playing along.

Six months after the previous entry. Developed the engine quite a bit.

Added hardware capture of live playback, looping audio via Boomerang, and ExpressCard e-SATA for reading two simultaneous clips of single-framing random access video. Had to up the hardware to obtain the speed. This is an example, dated March 3, 2010.
