Well, I thought that the G2 was not very capable of doing interesting guitar distortion thingies. Untill I was doing some multiband distortion / compression plus feedback thingies with my strat on a cheap behringer mic/instrument preamp. It is not really amp modeller quality, but it has a sound of its own. I like it as an alternative to 'conventional' amp modelling I guess.

Carefull with input levels, as the feedback can get out of hand easily, and the distortion will get too harsh. Three variations for fun.

Neat patch fozzie. I didn't get to try it with my pre-amp yet, but it sounded good with a guitar put strait into the G2. ( ...and by pre-amp I mean may computer audio interface, which would take a bit of re-wirring to run through the G2). How do you like your Behringer pre-amp?

Well, I use two mic-100's for various purposes. I think it is great for use with a (cheap as well) condensor mic on vocals or an occasional acoustic guitar. Also, I use it a lot as a bass preamp, and it's not too bad for that either (although my SWR is a bit better, it is not as portable). Furthermore, I have a v-amp2 amp modeller, and I think it's great. Maybe not as versatile as much more expensive line6 stuff, but there are some great tones in there, especially in combination with a H&K tube factor stomp box in front of it.

Glad you like the patch. I especially liked the feedback behaviour and the way the filters respond to a bit of lfo to their frequency inputs.
