If you like to mix harmonically like me, when you make a tracklist, you constantly have to look back and forth between a circle of fifths and the tracklist you’re building, trying to see where all the tracks fit together. Well, I made a little web app that auto-arranges tracks to mix in key. It's beta right now, but it works great. Try it out won't you?

http://inorganik.net/mixtool/

If you know the key of your tracks (or you can find it with the built in beatport search), you can enter your tracks into Mixtool and it will find the track arrangement with the most harmonic mixes. You can also drag and drop tracks to get your mix just the way you want it. Then you can save your mix, copy it and try a slightly different arrangement, print the tracklist, and hear the results.

Hopefully a lot of DJ’s will find this helpful, for me, it’s really exciting to drop some new tracks into Mixtool, and take it to the decks to hear the results. Enjoy.
