I'm using the attached seq patch in a live situation, with the G2 as slave to an Alesis SR16 drum machine.
Obviously, I want this sequence to start when I hit play on the drum machine. For some reason, every now and then, it puts in an extra 1/16note at the start of the pattern and so the whole thing is out of time with the beat in the bar. Other times it gets it right...
Is this due to some sort of delay in the MIDI clock signal or have I made a mistake in the patch? Anyone know of a fix?
Angus

On further investigation, I have observed that if I restart the master clock while the pattern is in the first 16 notes (i.e. has not yet reached the second sequencer module) it starts in sync ok. But if I restart the clock while the pattern is in the second half, it adds a beat.
This leads me to believe that it is not a MIDI delay problem or anything like that - more likely a shortcoming with my patch.
Any solutions gratefully received.
Angus

I've had this same problem; it's due to an error in the Clavia sample patches. The problem is the Loop inputs on the second pair of sequencers need to be tied to the ClockActive output on the clock geneator. See http://electro-music.com/forum/post-28574.html

Brilliant!!!!
Works a treat now.
Thanks v. much. Very Happy Very Happy
I would never have worked that out in a million years. Doesn't seem to be a particularly intuitive piece of patching. Most other solutions make sense when you look at them, but this is plain weird.
But is works, so who cares.
