try 2N3819
see the maplin page for more details.
but be careful the pins are not oriented in the same way in MPF102 and 2N3819 -

MPF102
pin 1 = drain
pin 2 = source
pin 3 = gate

2N3819
pin 1 = source
pin 2 = gate
pin 3 = drain

As you live in the UK, don't forget to make

Your main source of electronics, as they are way cheaper than maplin and more range too.

This page shows the 2N5457 which is a very good replacement for the MPF102

GOOD CALL! Maplin generally suck ass, Rapid generally BEST!
(always good next day delivery (free over £30 order) and so much cheaper than Maplin)
