Hi,
I'm slowly but surely putting this together amd I have a part question
heres a link to the seq http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/SEQ16_2005/SEQ16_2005.html
my question is the cd40193 4bit u/d counter, futurlec has an 8 bit http://www.futurlec.com/cgi-bin/search/search.cgi
will this work?

It looks like it'd be ok. The 4514 controls the length, not the CD40xxx itself, so the number of counter bits shouldn't matter. So I'd think using just 4 bits of the 8-bit counter would reset in the same effect. Of course, you could modify things to run even greater lengths (up to 256 steps with those 8 bits if you really wanted too Smile.
