A6 Banker for send/receive programs and banks. |
|
|
Hi fellow A6'ians!
I'm new here as I just got my A6 last week
I was the user "Xix" earlier.
This forum seems to be a little inactive...
I hope to see more activity here in the near future
I just bought this fine little program called "A6 Banker" and it is sooo
great for sending and receiving patches and banks to and from the A6
since it is so easy.
I highly recommend this inexpensive program to all A6 users who regularly
needs to send/rcv banks.
You can do it all from the program itself and you don't have to do anything
like pressing store, sysex send etc. on the A6.
It costs 6.50 USD/ 5 Eur
There's a demo on the site.

hi ,
it's a great program but i have 1 problem.
receiving sysex file from my andromeda is no problem.
but when i send a program back to the A6 it always jams and i have to do a hard reset.
when i press 'go' to send the program , i see on the lcd of the andromeda
'sysex message receiving' but then nothing happens.
and i have the same problem if i do the transfers via cubase , receiving from a6 no problem but sending to a6 > crash.
i checked the manual and did everything , even adjust the sysex receiving delay.
it's really a great synth but i want this problem fixed.
greets

Hi again
Make sure that RCV-TO is set to 'origin'.
Press Store > SYSEX > RCV-TO =ORIGIN
If it doesn't help write to the Mark the developer. He usually responds quickly.
This is what he wrote to me when I had a problem:
-----------------------
Contrary to what the manual says just transmitting a Program or Mix
(Bank) to the Andromeda will NOT restore it to its original location -
at least not by default !
Before the A6 can even receive SysEx dumps, you have to press the
GLOBAL button on the A6 front panel, go to the MIDI page and set
SYSRX (SysEx Receive) to ON
Now press the STORE button on the A6 front panel, hit soft button #5
SYSEX and then tweak soft button #3 labelled RCV TO (Receive To)
until it reads ORIGIN
bye,
MRS
------------------------------
I don't want to give his email on this site without his permission so
go to his web site and write to him using the form:
http://www.mk2software.com/banker/contact.php
Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Nothing else has to be done. You can send and receive using Banker only
which is most convenient.
You can email Mark using the form in the link I posted.
