It would be nice to have a compressor suited for mono signals.

In my experiments I have found that putting a compressor after a filter makes the sound warmer, at least from my point of.. hearing. The trick is very handy for example after a resonant filter, which usually lowers the output signal. This is one of the things that the G2 can do and no other VA can do, and it's very cool. Unfortunately the compressor is stereophonic, and consumes more resources than it would be necessary to compress a single signal.

So, I wish a simple signal compressor. Probably it could have great uses to other signals besides audio.

I have attached a simple patch, it does not show anything revolutionary but I was working with it before posting this. I find the sound much more interesting with the compressor turned ON.

Or at least they could change the cycle load depending on which inputs/outputs are used - this is something that the G2 should be able to do. So if you only use the 'L' input/output-pair, then the cycle load would be less than id you used all both pairs.
