Subject description: Converting "samples per beat" into bpm

The tempo output of hostsync is in samples per beat, but i really need it to come out in bpm for my patch.

How can i do this?

i need to know asap as it's for a uni project i am handing in on friday and i need this to work to make a track with my patch and time is runnign out.

please anyone?

Use some math!? I really wouldn't know how else to do it. According the reference manual, use:

(sample-rate / samples per beat * 60 )

to get the bpm value from the samples per beat value! You could then use a [tempo] object to output ints in any time signiture at the hostsync BPM value. Check the reference for more info, but I'm sure this will work!

Good luck, I'm currently working on a performance patch for a performance next week.. the pressure leads to great ideas, but can get me down as well when stuff doen's work.
