Hey,
Here is where the new release is located:
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-15405.html
This is primarily a bug fix release. There are a couple of new features. The main one is the -s option. This shortens the cables so the patch looks cleaner. Here is the list of updates:
Bugs/Features/Models:
X removed unneeded mixers from fm input when values==0
X fixed mixer3 and mixer8 to be audio output
X fixed *10 bug because env times are in milliseconds.
X optimized handlepitchmod with function and remove unneeded mixers.
X fixed pulse width when no mod present.
X added modtable to vocal filter level.
X removed freq table from vocal filter.
X fixed combining nets when destination has output
X added -s, cable shorten routine
X update pitcheg and lfo table
X update dx7 model
X add Ian's pitch eg fix, factory coloring
X fixed dxtime and variation number.
X fixed cable coloring when shortening cables.
X correct RatioFixed handling.
X updated dx7 model from 3phase.
X gentab.py table formatting cleanup
Enjoy,

depends on the changes...in this release some patches will work better that are related to the PW bug or the vocal filter...
most improovments are done for DX patches...
on the next release it will be probably a bigger difference for the nm2g2 converter...
depends on your patches... m ost areas are pretty good developed allreaDY..BUT DELAY LINES WILL BE OPTIMIZED..ups..the caps lock...
or morphs on switches will be translated in future release..A better model for the shelving EQ´s will be implemented..and if we find further bugs they will be eliminated...
And... the szise of converted patches will be a bit optimized so that some patches that go over 100% now can be loaded...
So its on you if you convert all patches again..but... if you do you help us to find bugs that might sneak in during the update process. |

can this convert G2 patches into nm1 patches ?
that would be so sweet....I could patch on the G2 engine, and take it to a micro modular for those dirty d/a's....
tell me it's so! |

Sounds cool, and thanks for your efforts!
As a programmer myself (see www.xfactory-librarians.co.uk), it's good to see this sort of work going on elsewhere, as quite often "self help in the community" is the way forward these days for getting features the manufactures don't think are worth the hassle.
Out of interest, I don't a G1, so is it worth trawling the G1 back catalog, as the G2 patch library is pretty comprehensive in itself? |

it's worth doing this on a rainy morning ... to ensure you have a lot of time that day as you will be adding tons of variations to your g1 patches

1.5 problem? |
|
|
This does not work for me. When I double-click nmg2.exe, the window pops up and disappears within a split second. I am running XP.
Is there something to understanding this utility that is eluding me?
thanks

Yes, it's a command line utility. You need to use it from the good ole DOS prompt. Search around a little, especially in the converter-subforum, and you should be fine. Not hard to use at all. _________________ Spinning at ~0.0000115740740741 Hz |

You need to pass it some arguments. Because of that, you must run it from a cmd prompt.
There is gui version is in the works. |

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but have you guys uploaded these NM1-converted (or DX-converted) patches somewhere?
I'd love to dl a huge .zip of either of those collections.
Actually, I'd just be happy if someone could point me to a patch that takes full advantage of the DX router.
[EDIT] Disregard this, I found the converted collection. Good work!
