I actually tried building this while I was deployed on an aircraft carrier in the pacific ocean, around 1978 or so.
Unfortunately, I could not make it work, so I must have done something wrong. I wish I had it now
I still have some old Paia catalogs though |

well I dunno if you do really want one still. Judging by these youtube vids, the Gnome really wasn't all that great anyway, despite it's cool looks. Half the time this bloke is prodding around, not a lot is going on. One also went recently on ebay for £150 and at the same time a Nord Micro went for £75. These are strange times indeed. _________________ ACHTUNG!

I would like to have one for nostalgia, not to actually use |

I know what you mean. I used to have a Wasp + a Spider. They are too dear now _________________ ACHTUNG!

For whatever, reason, I kept the wooden end pieces and all of the knobs from the Gnome kit, just in case I would need them someday.
Well, someone posted a message about the Gnome on another list I'm on, and I remembered that I still had those ultra-rare parts.
I posted a message- and found 2 people interested. Oddly enough, one of the buyers has a Gnome without the wooden end pieces.
So, these parts I've been saving and moving around for all these years (I hope my wife doesn't read this) now have new homes )
Whereas these- I'll probably keep for a long time
(unless the price goes through the roof on Ebay)
