Hello Darwen, thanks for the comment.
well, the original roland supersaw is made of 7 saw-waveforms, which are getting detuned/spreaded over the tuning range. every saw at another detuning amount...to imitate that, i did the following:
the detuning of the 6 SAW-Oscillators is done with the second Morph Group. When you click on the morphgroup in the editor, you can see the morph destinations and it get`s clearer what happens.
the modules under the OSC Section are for wider detuning of two out of six oscillators. the default finetune range of the G2 oszillators is -50 to +50 cents, which is not enough if you want to imitate the supersaw. so these modules are a workaround to detune the sound even more. there is a converter module, which i`ve used to invert the modulation of the second oscillator (OScD4) in this section and so it`s detuned with negative amount. the other oscillator (OscD7) get`s the same detuning amount, but not inverted...this way you can detune or spread the tuning of the oscs with just one turn of the morph-knop (detune).
the Dirt Osc Section is for taking away a too clean sound, especially for leadsounds. i`ve renamed the modules, this section is made up from a saw osc (Dirt Osc) and an lfo (dirt mod), that modulates this saw. if you mix the OSC Dirt to the Signal, it gives a slightly distorted and Lo-Fi character.
best,
hoshi |

This is a very decent recreation of that supersaw lead sound, even retaining the Roland style glossy programming of the delay and reverb. |

really love this patch!!
Only wish there was a pitch env so you could make those nasty pitching sounds! Want to add one, but don't know how (yet) |

this patch is pretty nice and full sounding, with pretty much voices to play. Still discovering the limits a bit since i bought it a couple days ago. I have no problems with the modules so far.

Its nice to mix event signals in a mixer. its not only for audio! That way you can easily mix an envelope with an lfo signal. Cable em up and send to the osc pitch.. |
