Howard,
What are the plans for other discussion categories?
Personally, I would like to see the following categories for the Nord Modular:
1. Announcements (News about this forum, Clavia releases, Nord Modular events, user web sites, etc.)
2. Problem Solving - G2 (An area for people to discuss G2 related problems, issues, etc.)
3. Problem Solving - G1 (An area for people to discuss G1 related problems, issues, etc.)
4. Tips and Tricks - G2 (Tips and advice for getting the most from the G2. No questions here please.)
5. Tips and Tricks - G1 (Tips and advice for getting the most from the G1. No questions here please.)
6. General Nord Modular Discussion (A place to talk about whatever Nord Modular music/gear related stuff you want.)
7. Wishlist (A place to share your ideas about how the G2 could be improved in the future.)
8. Modular Music (An area for posting examples of songs made with the Nord Modular.)
9. Off Topic (A place to talk about everything else, such as other Nord gear, stroopwaffels, etc.)
(I have taken some of these ideas from the Creamware Pulsar forum at PlanetZ.)
It also may be a good idea to start a separate patch area for the G1.
Expanding the discussion categories would really help to organize the discussion and make it easier to find specific topics of interes. |

Good suggestions. I'd like to get some other people to comment about them.
My way of thinking about it was to start out with the Clavia Discussion and then start forming other forums as needed. I've tried setting up many forums on other topics here on the site only to find no, or very few posters. We split News only after there were a few hundred topics, and the moved all of the topics to the new forums. That worked pretty well.
Thanks for your comment, and welcome to electro-music.com forums. |
