Calendar Event: March 23, 2007

Friday, March 23rd
9pm-midnite $5 suggested donation
The Chicago Junglebop Workshop featuring host band--- Dave Z Marsalek -traps {SPIZM/trioizm/doppler shift/muse cafe}, Matthew Golombisky -electric bass/likable noise {tomorrow music orchestra/qmr plus/zing/gk duo}, & Aaron Koppel -guitar/fx {juggernaut trio/Aaron Koppel Quartet}

Open avante-gaurde monthly jazz jam session {4th fridays}. The Chicago Junglebop Workshop is a progressive take on live reverse engineering/remixing the jazz canon. The CJS is a working collective of improv-based musicians, devoted to the art of both honoring the standards/jazz canon and applying new electro-acoustic/genre-jumping/groove to create something new and of THIS generation. If you are interested in being a part of this growing syndicate, come on out friday nite, and bring your instrument and open mind. A NOTE TO Drummers that wish to sit-in. We are ONLY allowing jungle/dnb/idm/breakcore/breaks...no funk or acid jazz. that has been done before. We are about mixing bebop & jungle. period.
