I'm trying to setup the following, if possible without a midi bay. Please help.

Nuendo3 (Audiophile2496 with audio: 2in 2out, MIDI 1in 1out)
Nord Rack3
Novation XStation (audio 2in 2out, MIDI in out thru, USB)
Yamaha RM1x audio 2out, MIDI 1in 1 out

I want to achieve the following two possiblities, preferably in one setup, that is without reconfiguring or at least replugging the machines.

1. compose in Live with use of USB midi keyboard Novation XStation; Live's sequences and Novation trigger RM1x's internal samples and Nord's sounds, Live records Novation's midi

2. move the midi onto rm1x - since then it triggers its own samples and Nord sounds (Novation is not essential here)

Thanks in advance.

Tom

I think your set up is to 'different' to give any suggestions. I'm not familiar with all the specs of those gear...

To my understanding all of them are midi and sysex capable.

and they are:
hw sequencer
midi keyboard
DAW host
hw synth

I suppose they must be possible to connect in a network.

But you will need some extra hardware, like bays and mergers...
It's hard to get more specific.
