There is a search order. The application also has preferences and particular Mac-cy ways of doing things. There is a system library and a user library.
That's why I need to see each crashdump (but just the first 10 lines of thread 0 now). If the proper installs were performed, all of this stuff would play together fine... It certainly does on my system. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

hmmmm.....I just ran this thing called Pluggo AU scan, that i presume scans my cycling 74 components...it crashed before it could finish scanning. OK, so something is fishy with my MODE plugin. BUt what i don't get is that I have removed ALL cycling 74 products from the system audio plug in folders and DP still crashed upon loading my project???
I hope i don't have to reinstall everything because i lost some of the serial numbers for the plug ins I purchased. _________________ Lets get it! |

reinstalling won't mean you have to put in serial numbers - if you have your iLok and it knows them anyway, or if you used Pace it's stored on the disk already unless you unauthorize the disk, which I don't suggest you do.
It certainly works that way for Cycling74 and Pace. I don't use iLok. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

ok, this is TRULY fixed.
I called cycling.....i reinstalled my only cycling plugin. "mode" and before hand ran this nifty thing that comes with the installer that sweeps out all old cycling 74 plugin stuff before installing....after this was done and installed everything worked fine! Well, it took almost one whole day of working out stuff, but I have a cleaner Hard Drive now!!!!!
Thanks guys, i'll post new music soon.....

Congrats to Digiton (what an appropriate avatar) and applause to you all. Those were 8 pages of seriously nail-biting drama!

Well, depends on what you mean.. but yes..
since we have
library/
users/user/library
system/library
that is of course theoretically possible, but it is rarely a problem. Installers scripts are of course scripts, so it is fully possible to fuck this up. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"
