Hi Guys,

Have the Macbook and Macbook pro got 6 or 4 pin firewire ports?

Cheers

6 pin standard size.. which means that the MB/MBP can power external devices.

Strictly speaking, the MacBook has a single 6-pin FireWire 400 port. MacBook Pros have single 6-pin FW 400 and 9-pin FW 800 ports.

Macs have never had a 4-pin FW port, which is Sony's "i.Link" standard and more commonly found on PCs.
