Hi There - There are a few things in my studio that I'm considering selling. I'd prefer not to waste time with ebay, insulting spam bots from antarctica on craigslist, even more insulting local music retailers, etc, and sell directly to fellow musicians - would prefer to do a local pickup/dropoff transaction if at all possible (philadelphia area), but will consider shipping. cash, cashiers check, or money order only - as far as my credibility goes, if you don't know me, chances are someone that you know does. we're a rather incestuous little community. if i didn't already have a son made of flesh and blood rather than knobs and circuit boards, i'd say that i treated my synths as such - but i love my little monkey man too much to make such a comparison. i think you get the picture. Smile

if you want one of these, i'm willing to bet you know what it's worth in monetary, "ohhhhhh", and hard-to-find terms - send me a message with an offer that suits and we'll see what we can do. possibility of trade for an eventide, lexicon FX unit, 8 in 8 out motu midi interface, oberheim expander, matrix 12, jomox sunsyn ... but um, okay, i'm going to stop writing out my christmas list. lets just say i'd be glad to drool over gear lists so feel free, but am mostly interested in cold, hard, cash at the moment.

DEFINITELY FOR SALE:

access virus c desktop (w/ rack ears attached) fully working, cosmetically perfect. there's your standard "could have used some KY" rash in the screwholes from rackmounting, but only visible to someone with a severe case of ADD. would love to keep it, but "accidently" got myself a TI.

korg m1r EX - (rackmount m1) m1r with the EX expansion. very good condition except some scratches on the unit. i'm assuming it needs a new battery (displays 'low battery' on LCD at initial startup), but works perfectly fine. i prefer the hardware over korg's emulation, for sure. _especially_ the drum kits - would keep it if i could ... as bonus background, apparently the original owner of this was the whitney houston band! i'm totally serious. i have a PCM card that came with it, i haven't had the time, but it's quite possible that there's some sick whitney presets on it... haha. sorry, unit does not have crack habit.

kawai k5000s (full keyboard) - hulking metal 80s beast! fully working. i so, so, so don't want to sell this, but, alas, i think i have to. great condition. a few scratches, but barely visible on this big mama. i would keep this if i could purely for the comedic value - the OS never ceases to crack me up. engrish heaven. this synth is to additive what the yamaha fs1r is to FM, plus it makes a rather awesome midi controller w/ it's knobs and lovely keyboard action. did i mention it has a 1.44 inch floppy drive? okay, i have to stop swooning over it before i cry.

presonus faderport - just bought this the other day, brand new. i don't think it's going to fit into my admittedly odd studio environment, so someone else can enjoy this.

rme hammerfall dsp multiface - NOT working. This was my workhorse for years. has a couple of scratches from "living", but it's otherwise been well loved. these things are made out of whaever superman is made out, so i found it's death rather curious. it was working perfectly one day and then all of the sudden wasn't - the yellow midi light and red error light come on solid. RME has assured me that it's fixable for less than the price of a used replacement, so whatever's wrong with it could be something stupid that's fixable by someone with some radio shack experience. i'm too lazy, so, if you're interested, have at it. i'd love to hear that it's alive again.

rme hammerfall dsp PCI card - acquired with the aforementioned's replacement - i don't have a use for it at the moment. I assume that this works perfectly fine. if it doesn't, i'd gladly accept a return.

steinberg midex 8 - NOT working. i think the serial chip in this needs to be replaced. lights randomly come on and stay lit upon connection to USB or other power source. computer says that it's not recognized, but removing the serial chip (easily obtainable, not soldered in) get it's recognized as a generic USB device (!?) - soooo... yeah. Again, I don't have the time to troubleshoot further, so this could be an easily fixable bargain. besides the nonworking-ness, it's in perfect condition.

PROBABLY FOR SALE:

clavia nord lead 3 (full keyboard) fully working, cosmetically perfect save one ltiny dent in the rear of the unit on the black panel that's pretty much only visible if you inspect it very, very closely. (i might end up with a G2 engine which suits me a bit more)

MAYBE, MAYBE, MAYBE FOR SALE:

roland ax-7 - pearly white, perfectly working, near mint condition - am i past the "keytar stage" in my life? is anyone ever past the "keystar stage" in their life? make me an offer and i guess i'll find out.

waldorf microq - yellow (older, classier) or blue (looks like it came fresh out of the factory before waldorf went under. evil twin of the yellow), take your pick. yes, i have two, and that's the only reason i'm considering this. only one will be sold. the other can be pried from my cold, dead hands. both are in near-mint, washed-with-diaper condition. both are 25 voice version with latest OS installed. only reason i'm consider sale is because ... well, okay, i'm not telling you that. you'd be even more pissed that I had 2 if I revealed what replaced one of them. Smile P.S. - This sounds nothing like Komplexor. As a now-outed waldorf fetishist, i find even the comparison rather insulting!

waldorf microwave XT - (not the poopy brown original edition - this is the 10 voice, firey orange version - near mint condition, fully working, absolutely gorgeous) ... what can i say. this is in my top 5 favorite synths. and i have been around the block, baby. nothing on this planet sounds like it. if you own this, you are lucky. almost as lucky as me, who must admit to having acquired a 30 voice version. Wink ... i am even still reluctant, but will entertain offers.

waldorf microwave 1 - (standard dark blue rack ... near mint ... fully working ... argh.) - all i'll say is that i love this just as much as the XT - their sound is vanilla and chocolate, and boy do i love ice cream ... yes, i have another one, yes, i am a bastard, and yes, that's the only reason i'm considering it's sale.

that's it. porn of any of the synths available on request.
