Sounds very much like... a soundtrack to a short film! Pretty clean production, at least from my crappy work headphones listening to an MP3.
What sort of equipment did you use for this? _________________ Garret: It's so retro.
EGM: What does retro mean to you?
Parker: Like, old and outdated.

Thanks for the replies!
The film is... interesting, yes.
I used a variety of software to create the individual tracks and pieced these all together using Cubase. I didn't use any external sources for this piece. Sometimes I run guitar through to record but it is rarely ever for a traditional guitar sound. I mainly use it for ease of playing and composing melodies and phrases that get heavily processed into sounds that suit the song. (I'm a guitarist/saxophonist)
I'm not sure if my electronic music vocabulary is on the right track but i have alot to learn and i look forward to it! After all, I have a long way to go (I'm 17).
Just one question: How would you personally classify this track, genre-wise? I'm pretty interested, having no idea about this sort of thing myself.
Thanks.

This is really nice. Is that movie online somewhere?

Norway indeed.
The musical claustrophobia of an Australian country town has me dreaming of a sonic holiday. Norway, among other places sounds very appealing to me. The title is just how i felt at the time it was written and has nothing at all to do with the film. Which sadly, no is not online.
It's pretty strange to actually get feedback (let alone positive feedback) from a forum like this. Thats why i love electro-music.com! |
