Hello !

I want to buy this beast, but i would like to test it before bring it to my home to check if the A6 i want doesn't have all the known problem (tuning etc...)

But i don't know how to use this synth and what to check first. What kind of test can i do ?

Download the manual for the A6 from here:

http://www.alesis.com/forums.html?id=56,30,0,0,1,0

then read the 'Troubleshooting' section that begins on about page 265 or so.
There's a lot to remember, so you may want to print that out.

In global mode, you can cycle thru all the voices by repeatedly pressing the key and see if they all sound fairly in tune.
There's background tuning and temerature tuning that can be turned on or off.
There's also a bunch of auto-tuning routines you can run and a bunch of power up modes that can be used for various things.

You can also just turn all the knobs and make sure they work by showing up in the display and keep hitting one key over and over again to see if all the voices sound pretty much the same.
