This patch has all Kaoss Pad default controllers implemented to use as a starter.

Made with KP2, works with KP 1 and 2, we did not check KP3.

Rix- how do you use the KP in conjunction with the G2?

Do the controllers from the G2 modulate the CC's on the KP- which is sampling the outputs of the G2?

Or some other configurations?

The patch is meant to be a starter for your own patches, so not very impressive in it's current form. Just to make things easier. The default factory controllers are implemented and can be used as modulators for your G2 patches. You could save some processing load if you assign the midi controllers to your parameters directly.

Latency from the KaossPad is huge due to high message density. I recommend to disable unused controllers.

We do not use this a lot, mostly due to the fact Rix owns the G2, and the Kaosspad is mine.

I have Rix's MicroModular on "permanent loan" ( hè-hè-hè...) and have some nice oscillator ("thermin" like ) and random sequence patches (noodle like) made. Havn't posted these, there's a lot more proficient programmers around here than us. Nice things can be done using the Touch , X and Y controllers on your G2 patches though.

Not with this patch, it just controls the G2. Could be done, but isn't realy nesscesary as the G2 has nice enough effects of it's own. I would make such a patch, but I program G2 patches in the Demo version, that does not have the MIDI send modules.

Subject description: Fader zones for KP-1 and KP-2

The KP-3 has these "fader zones" that the KP-1 and 2 don't have.
With this patch they do, if you can stand the latency that is. Use slowish gestures and disable unused KP controllers.

Press Control J for manual.

X-position devides into zones by Mux81. Number and width of zones can be adjusted.
Some adjusting of ZoneWidth and CompLev1 can yeald 9 zones that coincide more or less with the KP's local led position readout.

Y-value is output by Track&Hold modules. Y-value is held when leaving X fader position.

Combining CompLevel and Mux8-1 strategies will allow you making your own zones for triggering or Controller holding.

As patch load and MIDI controller density are high you'll probably want to keep stuff fairly simple though.
