I knew this piece but a few days ago I stumbled into it while browsing an Aebersold volume. Of course, I wasn't satisfied with the written chord progression so I changed it. I love this song and the lyrics too:

Quote:
It's very clear
Our love is here to stay ;
Not for a year
But ever and a day.

The radio and the telephone
And the movies that we know
May just be passing fancies,
And in time may go !

But, oh my dear,
Our love is here to stay.
Together we're
Going a long, long way

In time the Rockies may crumble,
Gibralter may tumble,
There're only made of clay,
But our love is here to stay.

so I thought to record my version

Very Happy

Hey, those are fingers in use! Shocked

Very nice arrangement. You could add some reverb for the production quality, or not. I would have. Wink Not a lot, mind you, but putting you in a bigger room would just make it more like a concert to listen to.

I dunno, I think Gershwin sounds best in a close, intimate setting, rather than in a concert atmosphere. It reminds me of those old movies where the pianist always gets the girl. Very Happy

Very lovely, Seraph.

Cheers,
Scott

thanks guys Very Happy
George's music is so charming and Ira's lyrics so witty, I just love it.
The sound I used has a tiny bit of reverb and being a fast song with "lots of notes" I thought it could get muddy adding it.
