ZOOM RhythmTrack 234 - question Subject description: I need help |
|
|
I've pretty much just started making electronic music via FL studio this march. I found the ZOOM RhythmTrack 234 at a pawn shop for 35 dollars. I don't have much money seeing that I am only 15 without a job
I'm more into making breakbeat, ambient, acid, hiphop stuff
My main concern is whether it would be sufficient for these styles, assuming that you have it/used it.
I'd like some answers as fast as possible, I don't want it to walk away.
Thanks if you help me out.

Of course it is- absolutely
Use the zoom to program some breaks, then resample them into your PC. The main advantage of this over using loops downloaded from the internet, is that you can make them very much your own.
Have I used a Zoom rhythmtrack? No. But a drum machine is a much of a muchness imo. If you get bored with the Zoom, I can highly recommend an old Yamaha RY30, but then again that wouldn't be the outcome object of this exercise
oh yes.... and to electro-music.com jrstubs. Do hang around a bit- get stuck in. I highly recommend the circuit bending forums if you fancy a bit of DIY damage too! _________________ ACHTUNG!

Thanks for the reply and welcoming. I've already made some circuit bent instruments! I found an old fisher price guitar, added 3 switches, it makes a nice synth sounds and pig squeels. I put an audio output on it too. I also simply put an audio output on an old yamaha porta-sound or something like that, its from 1980 something. |
