I'm finding myself just about every evening now annoyed to be missing one random part or another, be it optical sensors here or potentiometers there - This being the case, I think it's about time to make another big supply run. Clearly, I'm not going to throw my time and money away with Radio Crack gear, but I'm also not so familiar with where all the best deals are to be had online.

As I know this question has been asked innumerable times, I've set up a quick Grupthink topic so that we can all kind of quantify all opinions on the matter. I hope that it'll also serve as a quick one-off link to those whom invariably will ask the same question in the future.

I'm not looking for the best price on any specific part, just trying to get a feel for who the best overall online retailers are.

Thanks!

Subject description: where to order parts in UK

Hi,

When I first started circuit bending I was buying from Maplin - convenient - a shop just up the road. Then I realised how expensive they are - cable £0.89 a metre - it was quite chunky stuff.

Now I use http://www.bardwells.co.uk/

thinner cable still does the job £0.60 for 20 metres, they deliver in couple days from order.

is there a list / thread for UK suppliers
