A "Wurlitzer"-adaptation of my electric piano model.

It now features a "KeyVariation" readout table, which variates tuning and timbre of the individual notes. This table itself can be reshuffled/resetted with dedicated buttons.

As always, I'm too lazy to do variations. A wurly is a wurly is a wurly....

this is excellent; thanks, shoshin.

i spent several hours having a great time with it and came up with a set of variations and some other modifications:

* the damping noise didn't respond to release-velocity, so i patched this in with a simple level-multiplier.

* added some somewhat-characteristic effect processing: dual phaser with rather ridiculous feedback, and freq-shifter to achieve something vaguely ringmod-esque.

* added highpass filters and envelopes that slowly bring up the output levels when switching to the patch and switching variations, to cut down on the initial oscillator 'pop' and other DC shifts.

wow, smokris -thanks for adding these nice enhancements!

I also originally had implemented release velocity -but discarded it because the "keyboard" module was a polyphony guzzler (many outputs). My goal was to keep polyphony at max -that's why the orignal patch was so simple.

cheers.

thanks to both of you, this is a great wurli, very warm and expressive -- and the effects are very useful.

Wow... I have never owned are real Wurli, but I've had lots of synths that had wurli patches. I must say I never found any of them expressive enough to play in performance, or even just goofing by myself. This one it exceptional. Some of the variations put me back in the 70s. This is an outstanding collaboration. Thanks both...

thanks

Thanks for the props, folks. I use this patch on a daily basis myself. One of those "bread'n butter" patches one always returns to.

The organic timbre comes from the fact that the attack is never quite the same with every key strike, as noise is used as a hammer impulse to excite a resonating medium.

Now if I could get the Fender Rhodes nailed, too scratch I've tried dozens of times...

I love this patch! It's kind of odd given that I have the G2 so that I can make ultra-electronic sounds. Nice work!
