Subject description: Is modulating the Phase of an LFO impossible? important for pads and sounds with unison...

Hello!

For pads which use LFOs for modulations, I find it pretty important to have a different Phase of the LFO each voice to make the pad sound fluid... So the approach I tried was this: Modulate the Phase of the LFO by the S/H module. The S/H uses Voice Random as its input and is being triggered by "Vox On Key Vel", and Sample Trigger is On, so that at each key press, you've got another randomly generated value. The S/H approach works, I tried it on the freq. of the filters and it does affect it. However it seems that the Phase of the LFOs can't be modulated? I tried to modulate the freq. of the LFO by the S/H and it does work too, but not so when trying to modulate the phase... I chose different amounts for the phasemodulation on different LFOs, but it never worked. Do you know why?

Thanks for your help!

It´s true what you say. I could get phase modulation by setting the sync to "Clock", then it works, but it makes a little "glitch" when it does it (in this case, at the begging of the note), so at the moment I suggest you to use it in sounds with slow attack time (ie, pads Laughing ). But if the modulation is small (from the LFO to pitch) it won´t be noticed.
Cheers,
