Subspace is a group consisting of Bill Fox and Howard Moscovitz. Bill plays electric guitars and analog modeling synthesizer. Howard plays an electric/midi banjo, Kurzweil keyboard, and analog modeling syntheser. So far, their music is a relaxing blend of styles ranging from electronic space music through jazz and new age. But it will not stop there!

Bill and Howard are founding members of electro-music.com.

Their first CD will be released here. MP3 excepts of this release will be posted on this forum shortly.

Well, Bill and I haven't played together since we joined up with Greg Waltzer to form Xeroid Entity. I do have a few recordings. When I get back from my travels, I'll see if we can't put up an mp3 file here on the site. In the meantime, you might want to check out some mp3s of Xeroid Entity at http://xeroid-entity.com/music.htm

That would be cool. Thanks.

Those samples from the Ambient Ping are really nice. I've also heard "Moons of Saturn" and Mutation Vectors' "Placebo Merchant". I'm quite curious what the "other half" of Xeroid Entity sounds like.

What do you mean, the "other half". Moons of Saturn has all three of us, although it's from the early days, four months ago Wink

Sigh. I don't seem to be doing a very good job of expressing myself in text. What I meant was that I'd heard the three of you together and I'd heard Greg without you and Bill (albeit with someone else) and I'm looking forward to hearing the two of you without Greg. I knew my math was wrong. That's why I put "other half" in quotes.

I wonder what people think about naming for different permutations of band members? Bill and I will be appearing as Xeroid Entity at Different Skies.
Should there be a unique name for each unique combination of people?
Does there need to be agreement between all the members before one or more can use the name? I suppose this sort of thing normally gets specified in a legal agreement, at least if there is money involved.
In Fringe Element, our deal is that we will use that name as long as there are 3 or more of us involved. If it's only two, then a different name.

That's because it originally was going to be all three of us.

>Should there be a unique name for each unique combination of people?

I don't see why it's needed. Howard and I were Subspace because the three of us hadn't yet formed Xeroid Entity. But due to time constraints, I needed to put Subspace on the shelf if Xeroid Entity were to get its proper amount of concentration. And since we are 2/3 of XE and XE's output was in the same vein, it all seemed like one band to me. Greg and I are 2/3 of XE so I consider it to still be XE as there is a majority of members in the configuration.

Cheers,
