Hey, (((NOMUSIC))), you are the 100th person to sign up for the electro-music.com forum. Congratulations.

What kind of network connection do you have to have to be a preformer? Sounds like great fun.

maybe I am a little slow but I do not understand what it means being a performer in a setting like this one.
I even downloaded, and read!, the .pdf document but it's still not clear.
Stein what did you do last year?

I agree this is very vague stuff.. but they do have some links on their site to reviews that might be helpful. Rhizhome is hyping this so i guess this must be art.

I played onDfusion 2002 and 2003 ( I think it is called that.. a project by the artist John Hopkins.. this one seems styled the same way ). Just a matter of plugging the rig into a mac that encodes the audio stream into a data stream and then pipe that channel over the net to the broadcast hub.

noone listens to stuff like this anyway so it is more a matterof gettin yet another stupid thing on the resume. Cool

Anyway.. I performed a scaled down Elektro 80 concert.. It was pretty OK if you ask me. But I do miss an audience out there. I guess most of the performers will be DJs spinning mp3s. So I signed up because I belevied they needed some kind of live act. I might be wrong. Anyway.. this is probably art.. so we could just as well be making farting noises thru some efx unit.. fermented beans anyone?? this reminds that I once saw a CDR by some arty artist called Scratch A Crotch.. or something similar.. which was basically samplings made by him scratching his toolshed.

I think you are right. Once, on Keyboard Magazine, I read a review of a sampling CD containing only sampled farts. WOW! that's a scary task to accomplish. Can you imagine 700 Mb of farting noises?

Good old analog storage of farts used to be a serious issue. Dunno.. at 16bit 44.1khz.. how does that convert back into gas? I suspect Royal Albert Hall will be too small for unleashing those 700megs.

Indeed... I guess we can expect these guys to announce that the "internet" will be the next hot thing. The invention of gunpowder will quite possibly be announced seconds after that insight.Laughing

"two simultaneous several countries"
a bit more practice and they can do haiku?Cool

Dunno.. I decided to be polite and not ask what they meant by this. Rolling Eyes

To get back to the subject, this might be fun and good for the resume. Wait, my resume is too good. Better settle for fun.

Yes, Italians have a great sense of humor AND they are polite. Just watch the Godfather movies and you'll see this. Cool

What about the inherent dangers of pizza piracy? Before you know it you have p2p networks distributing your pizzas all over the globe? For free! With no quality control? And what of the dangers of unauthorized US pan pizzas? We might have to call in the pizza rights management stormtrooopers! Soon we have the Axis Of Pizzas to worry about.
