Well, this effect is known some time now...
Ehhh, since 1787, to be exact, when Ernst Chladni published his book 'Entdeckungen über die Theorie des Klangesor'. In English something like 'Discoveries Concerning the Theory of Music'.

You'll find a lot of information about this on the net, which is in some cases very amusing, like Hans Jenny's writings about 'Cymatics'. Totally nonsense Very Happy But in the 'New Age' movement very important.

We used to have some coffee abuse thingy as well .. but that seems to be gone. It can be pretty hard to find a smiley even when you know it's there.
