cycles
A new series of Audio Source Libraries from Cycling '74, produced and curated by Sound Library pioneer Ron MacLeod, creator of the award winning 'Poke in the Ear' libraries.

With this new series, MacLeod expands upon his previous work by producing a continuing series of 'inspirational' sonic collections, utilizing the innovative processing tools from Cycling '74 -- Max/MSP, Pluggo and Radial.

For the series he will also be tapping some of the most visionary designers of the experimental underground, past & present... tempered for 'real world' usability. Future releases will include alternative rhythmic loops, transitional events & effects, 'vintage' classics , and incidental meanderings, for use by musicians, sound designers and media producers.

The Cycles series are packaged as a dual-disc release created with the audio post-professional in mind - a high capacity DVD-ROM, along with a standard audio CD for an easy auditioning alternative. Supplied as 24bit/48kHz .wav files for ease of use in Film, DV and multimedia productions, as well as 44.1kHz versions for direct compatibility with music composition tools. The files are seamlessly looped end to end for laying down beds imported directly to DAW, playback in loop sequencers (such as radiaL, Live, Acid) or manipulation by any sampler, vintage to virtual.
