Hello all! Cool
My name is Abaddon (read revelations chapter 9 on Bible.com). I am a 14 year old male from the Eastern US. I am really into Christian philosophy, electronic music (all sorts), just about anything Japan related, anime, and role playing games (on a screen or off). I have been making music for about 4 years, electronic music for 2 of them. I also enjoy writing, on rare occasion.

Anyway, Konnichiwa! Very Happy

Actually, I make a lot of music... I am just very selective when it comes to sharing my music. Anyhow, nice to meet you!

BTW, this board has the best collection of emoticons I have ever seen!

Hail the Master

Welcome, Abbadon. Happy to have you here.

OK, I fixed the bow emoticon. I'm always on the lookout for new emoticons, but sooner or later, there will be too many. So far no complaints, except for Jan, BlueHell, who just doesn't like emoticons, period.

Hello, Abaddon - I'm not overly fond of philosophy anymore, but just about everything you mentioned has been an interest at least at one point or another in my life. Anime is interesting me quite a bit lately (just picked up the first disc of 'serial experiments lain' - we'll see how that one is...). crpg's make me happy (morrowind, just bought gothic 2). And of course, music is something I'm passionate about.

Well, I suppose there is a bit of philosophy in all those...
Never the less, nice to meet you! thumleft

I read a lot of philosophy, took a comparitive religions class and philosophy classes back in college, etc etc. Yes - there's a bit of philosophy in everything - I guess I just don't seek it out anymore actively. I used to read a lot of history - don't really do that as much anymore either. I think it's mainly a time thing - music is more important a hobby for me when I have the brief bit of free time that I have anymore - and I usually tend to do music or just do total entertainment things like read a book (fantasy mostly these days) - or play a game or take photos and piddle around on the computer. Hmm. head banging monitor

phi·los·o·phy ( P ) Pronunciation Key (f-ls-f)
n. pl. phi·los·o·phies

1. Love and pursuit of wisdom by intellectual means and moral self-discipline.
2. Investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods.
3. A system of thought based on or involving such inquiry: the philosophy of Hume.
4. The critical analysis of fundamental assumptions or beliefs.
5. The disciplines presented in university curriculums of science and the liberal arts, except medicine, law, and theology.
6. The discipline comprising logic, ethics, aesthetics, metaphysics, and epistemology.
7. A set of ideas or beliefs relating to a particular field or activity; an underlying theory: an original philosophy of advertising.
8. A system of values by which one lives: has an unusual philosophy of life.

I'm more into metaphysics myself. Philosophy just makes my head hurt. I can understand what is impossible to prove. But I can't relate to what's possible in theory. I'm an illogical thinker. scratch
