I've been using samples basically since ive started making music. Now im starting to wonder, how my favorite samples are made.

I make electrohouse but any bassdrum is fine as i'm just starting out.

Now the real question, what would be a good thing to start with? A VST maybe? or...? Im pretty much a newb at this heh Embarassed

Here's one I made using Soundforge in about 20mins.
It's built around a low sine wave and a bit of noise.
Then I used reverb, cut, paste, flange, EQ, volume adjust, reverse, fade out, etc, etc, etc.
Once you get to know it, it's pretty easy.
And unique.

Yup, that's one of the most flexible synthesis methods and yet people seem to forget about all the time ... it's not very VST and hip and real-time and such of course Very Happy
