Yes, you read that right.

Most remixes I've heard are more danceable and electronic as the original. I wanted to take the opposite route with this one: the original song is very danceable and machine heavy and my demix version is pretty much in modern classical style.

The band in question is Otto Dix from Russia. You can find the original at www.myspace.com/ottodixx (it's the song called "Ego"). The demix version is HERE.

Any feedback is of course welcome!

(don't worry, I have the permission from Otto Dix to post this)

Very nice and yes, very classical. It's more Brecktian than the original! Hey, is the singer really a male voice? The bands' myspace site says male but it really sounds like a female voice. Hard to believe. Shocked Very operatic sound. The band is no doubt very Industrial-goth but you've managed to make them sound like they could fit into a contemporary Russian-Wagnerian opera. Well done! What instruments were used for the demix, btw?

Thanks for listening.

Yes, the vocalist is a male but you're certainly not the only one who thought he sounds very feminine...

Most of the classical instruments are from VSL. The percussion is from several sample libraries, also some I recorded myself. The choir backing in the last chorus is East West Symphonic Choirs. I think that's pretty much all.
