WEll, I've been looking at this for a minute. According to this place, the new Waldorfs are coming on Halloween. I've been told to look for new Waldorfs before tho.

Halloween for an evil synth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Stavro_Blofeld) release makes sense to me. The similarity of Blofeld to Dr Evil is uncanny.

I hope it does come out then, I'm want to check out the full spec first like if you can import user waves - the Nord Wave has made me think twice about whether I should go for a Blofeld or not.

Thanks! Hopefully they'll be available in the US before the dollar is completely worthless against the Euro. Smile

Yeah, They are discussing it on the Waldorf user group too. I have heard it before tho, best just to wait until it hits the stores I guess.

I really like this Blofeld.

I like Waldorf's strategy. Instead of first releasing the expensive gear like a Stromberg, or Zorenberg, they first released, the easy stuff, like the Q and of course the Waldorf edition, and then is releasing the new Blofeld 1st, which is cheap enough to get a lot of exposure on the market. I wonder if they'll do a VST wrapper for it?

And one more question, I wonder if the MIDI CC implementation will be compatible with a microwave XT?

Waiting patiently,
/Dasz

Sounds like it will be close to having both a Q and an XT. That's a lot of sonic possibilities.

Tasty, I was hoping they'd put some XT capabilities into the Blofeld, even better would be user editable wavetables for the Blofeld.

Love the aluminium knobs too - fingers gettin' twitchy!! Razz

Thanks for posting that info about the Blofeld.
Looks like it takes an external power supply. Would have been nice if it could have just run off of USB power.
But you can't have everything.
All Q and XT wavetables! That's pretty awesome.

Impressive Specs, but not an impressive looking synth or UI.
