Hi,

I'm looking for a service manual for a Roland MC-4 MicroComposer.

Alternatively, if any one has any information on the pinouts of tape backup connector they can pass on I'd be mighty appreciative.

Cheers,
Adam-V

Hello

Sorry maybe too late, but you can get a PDF manual here -
http://media.rolandus.com/manuals/MC-4_OM.pdf

Also I have been using a Minidisc record for tape backup
connected to the 1/4 jack sockets that works
very well, and you can label the "tracks" on the MD so
you know what's what !

Thanks Tony,

I'm actually looking for the service manual.

I have had good success saving sequences to a Zoom handy recorder in MP3 format. You just need to get the levels right.

Cheers,
Adam-V

Hello

Sorry I missed the word "sevice" Embarassed

You can actually get service manuals from
Roland direct for pretty ancient gear.

Here in the UK i've contacted them via email
to get documents for most of their
classic old stuff.

So long as you appear to be a techie, I think
they are quite helpful.

Thanks for the tip Tony, I might have to give Roland a shout then.

Cheers,
Adam-V

Hi Frank,

I don't have the MC-4 service manual yet. I've been a bit too busy to even think about contacting Roland; to much to do and not enough time in which to do it I'm afraid!

Cheers,
Adam-V.
