We are very pleased to offer at the electro-music.com on-line store Mikronesia's first CD, Greetings From Cubeland. Mikronesia is an electronic artist from the Philadelphia area whose music is, in his words: "minimal trip-hop / dense ambient music / with down-tempo beats and noise and talking and textures."

His music has elements of percussion running through it most of the time, with lots of electronic sounds (ear candy). It is related to the techno style, but it seems more evolved musically. The music sometimes uses the sounds of processed human voices that are quite interesting. Rarely can you make out the words. The music often sounds like looping, but rarely is it totally repetitive. Most of time, the "loops" are varied in some way each time you hear them. Unlike many practioners of the electronic arts, Mike understands dynamic range. His music quite refreshing.

We hope that Greetings From Cubeland will be the first of many offerings to come from this talented new artist.

This CD is professionally made in comes in a shrink-wrapped jewel case. The sound on this CD is excellent; very clean. This is the kind of music you can enjoy in your car, or while working or reading. This is interesting enough for concentrated critical listening.
