I've just had delivery of my Nord Wave and to my surprise there are no midi implementation charts in the manual. I just wondered if anyone new of where I could get a midi cc list from?

Thanks in advance.

I asked Clavia.

I think it will be the same as the NL3, but I'm not sure, of course. At least CC 7 will be the program volume Smile Maybe using the G2D, assigned to controllers, could be a tool to investigate.

I do not have a NL3 so I am unable to check. I would think they are different as they have different features. I have also emailed clavia, lets see if we get a reply. Not having emailed them before I'm not sure what there customer service is like. I have a G2 Engine and it would be great to control the Wave with it. I am also using Max/Msp as a sequencer/controller and having a cc list is crucial for me.

Alright, you have an Engine. That's fine. I made you a G2 Patch, load it in the Engine, open the Editor and connect the Midi Out of the Wave to the Midi In of the Engine. Turn a parameter on the Wave and look which parameter in the Engine has changed. The CC number is on the Module. I don't have a Wave yet, so I can't do it myself. Make a list of all the parameters (about 50 I think) and send it back to this forum!

BTW controller 85 to 119 are in the FX window.

Excellent work Wout. Thank you for your effort. I have the list in notepad format and you can download it from the attachment. Thats saved me a headache and I expect a few others will benefit from this also.

I noticed this too and I wonder why...

First Miles could have forgotten these, worked to fast or is not that much interested to use them,
secondly the G2 has some omissions in the assignment list too, or
in the third place, which is more cumbersome, Clavia has forgotten them and didn't implemented these at all...

There is something strange about the LFO's and the Amp Env.

Anyway, Miles did a better job then Clavia Smile
I think the Manual is a big bug...
Maybe it will change when the software is ready!

Wout

PS If all is right there would be 52 parameters, Wheel, CC 7 (Program Volume) and Morphs not counted.

That was all the knobs and buttons on the front panel. Some of the knobs were transmitting program change data which I left out. It still seems a little buggy. The operating system is still v0.96 which I assume they will update as soon as they have ironed out some of the bugs.

You're very kind Very Happy

Clavia will read this thread for sure.

Something else...
To the Forum Administrators: will we make a new forum to the Wave or leave it under NordLead for a while?

Certainly not!
Not the NordLead forum.
You may do it to E-M, but I think someone at Armadillo will object.

The NL forum is dedicated to the NL
The NordMod to the Nord Mod
and a Wave forum to the Wave.

Is the Wave a NL with another Sound generation to the Oscillators?

So how if we changed it to "Nord Wave / Lead"?

Make it NordLead/Wave. Gosh, these negotiations are always hard.

The lay out is very simular to the NL1, NL2 and NL3. It is a NordLead with sample possibilities.
