One for the Gurus, I have a bunch of UA711 voltage comparators on old circuit boards that could be pulled for use. The data sheet for these says they are used in memory circuits. Is there any use for these in analog synth DIY? Are these worth the time and trouble to unsolder them from old boards, or are they better tossed into the has been bin?

Data Sheet:

The 711 is a dual 710?

I just wondered, I think I have some 711s or 710s somewhere.

Watch the PS requirements: between -7V and +14V absolute limits.

Now I know why I´ve been finding these things in the living room. Seems like they might have come out of some kind of rainbow coloured kids percussion shaker thingies that my wife brought back from work.
Shocked

Nope.. I really don´t think so. Sad

Seems like the legs are clipped on most of these.

Thanks
