this is a short example of microtonal vocoding using a G2 and LMSO.
the scale is Wyshnegradsky's neutral, a heptatonic one repeating at the octave with the following cents from tonic: 0.000000, 200.000000, 350.000000, 500.000000, 700.000000, 850.000000, 1050.000000, 1200.000000
I have retuned Tommi Lindell's "Der Vokoder" patch with LMSO and recorded everything with Logic8 adding a few percussions.
Hope you enjoy Very Happy

arrow Listen to Wyshnegradsky's neutral

for the few of us not knowing anything about Ivan Wyschnegradsky, I will add that the scale I used is based on the equal division of the octave in 24 parts and choosing step number 0, 4, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24 to build a scale that does not have major or minor thirds, sixths and sevenths, that's way it's called neutral Idea

I have been into vocoding lately. I really like it. It's possible to come up with interesting results and effects.

Yah, super cool this is. Love the neutral thirds, a staple of most world and folk musics yet notably and regrettably absent in western status quo music.

I'm planning to edit Tommi's patch to add some parameter to tweak live while "singing", so to speak Cool
