I like this one a lot. There is not too much going on here really, but I like the slow progress and the mood. I like the sound and feel of it too.. sounds like a rehearsel after the first soundcheck. Actually.. it is great that there has been no attempts to stuff max number of breaks and shit in here.. this is very laid back and moody.. and I am pretty sure it will work well live too... pump up the volume!
How did you record this piece? Are some of the band members in here somewhere too?

Hi there Paul

Well it's your kind of early morning, slumped in a room with your mates, it's starting to get light, you're wondering where the night went, arguing over who should go to the garage for more Rizlas kind of tune I guess.

This sort of thing doesn't do that much for me. You know, one chord drone, dubby bassline, lo-fi slowed down reverby break over the top sort of deal. Seems to be some kind of irregular looping of the drums with respect to the bassline, adds a bit of interest. Seems competently done, but it's a personal thing, I just like a bit more detail in my music.

Cheers

David

Ooh!

I gave my real name. I am unmasked, like the school janitor in the monster suit out of Scooby Doo.

thanks for the feedback

it's good that you know what you like...and what you don't

in my case, i am not personally.emotionally attached to this music..nor would i hold it up to rigorous standards..[i am heavily involved in another project that i would hold up to high standards tho]

but technically your feedback is not 'criticism' but your personal opinions..small but significant difference..

nonetheless, all comments are valuable and appreciated

Fair point mate. I didn't exactly give your tune a technical autopsy, beyond saying I thought it was competently done. But maybe it's useful to get a straw poll of whether people like it or not anyway? Dunno.

Cheers

Cool, Paul. I dig the mood and the sounds. The drum put me off at first because it didn't seem to fit. I hung in there with it. I like this - even with the drums...
