I enjoyed everyone's music I had the chance to catch. Of course it didn't help that I flaked out on my own time slot. Looking forward to the next one. _________________ Jonathan

Well, that's true. They are in fact mostly connected with natural phenomena. Is there a list of them? Just curious. _________________ --Howard

I found this online: http://sourceryforge.org/forums.html/Pagan_Festivals
February 2nd Imbolc
March 20th Vernal equinox / Ostara
May 1st Beltane
June 21st Summer solstice / Litha
August 1st Lughnasadh / Lammas
September 22nd Autumnal equinox / Mabon
October 31st Samhain
December 21st Winter solstice / Yule
The dates aren't the same every year as they depend on the position of the sun and they are rotated by 180 degrees for the southern hemisphere _________________ Jez

Well, that and the holiday, February 2. Does anybody outside the U.S. celebrate Groundhog Day? Punxatawny, the center of excitement, is in Pennsylvania, NW PA, but I've never been there for the celebration. I've driven by on the highway at other times of the year. Lots of alcohol, of course.
The Groundhog's behavior on that day is supposed to be a predictor of the longevity of winter. What usually happens is snow, and since I love to cross-country ski, that is a good thing.
I wrote a short story based very loosely on the movie back in 2003, where the hero is in fact a groundhog stuck in a recycled day. Spent a lot of time on it, although I can't remember the details. Pretty weird shit as I recall. I wonder if I still have an on-line copy. _________________ When the stream is deep

Just remembered that I gave it two endings, the socially acceptable one and the loner rebel one. I was reading some pop science and quantum multiple universe conjectures at the time, which is what got me started. _________________ When the stream is deep

Ok, here is the chat log in .txt format.
The formatting is made for mIRC, that is why many of the unrecognized characters won't be displayed properly just ignore this etc. However, for the most part you can read it (many hours to sift through). I think most will find it a serious unnavigatable mess, but here goes.
Enjoy |

Thanks for posting this, I had to leave for my new years parties (2 this year), so I could not be attending in person. I only heard state machine (while working on Oddcast problems), which was very nice ..
Thanks Mosc for replying on my behalf in the chatroom - I wish I could have been there.
I hope to hear mp3's of the event!
Happy 2-0-0-8!

I finished sorting out the tracks and polishing them up a bit where needed. I already PMed a few people who I knew didn't have a recording of their own performance, but when I forgot someone please PM me.
This is not meant for "regular listening", for that the files will be put up later as "on demand streams" at http://radio.electro-music.com - so not yet _________________ Jan

Hi Bill,
Thats very interesting bit of news Thanks !
BTW: I have your "Galactic Travels" radio program bookmarked. I will have to start checking this out on Thursdays, at 11PM. I will most likely record the streams and listen when I can since I usually have to be up at 5 AM each morning ...
Happy New Year .....

There are times when the stream falters. I check it before I start and usually once or twice during the show. If the stream drops, just call me at 610-694-8100 extension 1 to let me know so I can put it back up again.
There's someone in Europe who records it and puts up the recording but it's some newsgroup that I can't access because I don't subscribe to newsgroups. As a result, I can never remember where to tell people to look for it.
